Officially, this model has never been part of the BMW product range. It represents a job-work produced by handicraft.

Regrettably, this model car no longer can be obtained from market.
With this model car, the north-Italian manufacturer BBR created a facsimile of the 3.0 CSi. The chrome trim, the window frames, the radiator grill and many more parts are very realistic. Also the interior, details were reproduced with contour accuracy.

This kit (Blue Tank) is about a racing version of the 3.0 CSL. As to packaging information, also an electro motor is contained powered by an AA-battery.
Most likely it will be hard to obtain such a model again.

In 1992, this plastic kit was issued with the Airfix® product number 06402. One the 64 single parts are assembled, a model car of about 17 cm length and 8 cm width is completed.
The kit is available with two different 3-spoke steering wheels as well as two different sportive outside mirrors.
The Humbrol-paints 9, 11, 33 1321 and 1322 had to be purchased separately in order to achieve the appearance the manufacturer proposed.
